Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 26, 2026
Eminent Studies is committed to ensuring that our website and tutoring services are accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or technology. We believe every student deserves equitable access to world-class education.
1. Our Commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Our goal is to make the Eminent Studies website perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users.
2. What We Have Done
- Semantic HTML: All pages use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions (
nav, main, footer), and ARIA labels for interactive components. - Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — navigation, forms, modals, accordions — are fully operable by keyboard. Modals trap focus and release it correctly on close.
- Colour contrast: Text and interactive element colours are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios. Our primary teal on dark and light backgrounds exceeds 4.5:1.
- Focus indicators: Visible focus rings are preserved throughout the interface.
- Images: All meaningful images include descriptive
alttext. Decorative images use emptyalt="". - Forms: All form fields have explicit labels or
aria-labelattributes. Required fields and error messages are announced to screen readers. - Responsive design: The site is fully usable at 320 px viewport width and supports up to 400% browser text zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced motion: Scroll-reveal and hover animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. - No auto-playing media: We do not use auto-playing video or audio.
3. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations include:
- Third-party video conferencing tools used for live sessions (Zoom, Google Meet) are subject to those providers' own accessibility compliance.
- Some legacy embedded content may not yet have full alternative text coverage. We are working to address this.
If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please report it using the contact details below.
4. Screen Reader Compatibility
The site has been tested with the following assistive technology combinations:
- NVDA + Chrome on Windows
- VoiceOver + Safari on macOS and iOS
- TalkBack + Chrome on Android
5. Tutoring Session Accommodations
We are happy to make reasonable adjustments to our tutoring delivery to support students with disabilities or learning differences, including:
- Extended session duration for students who need more time
- Provision of materials in alternative formats (large print, high contrast)
- Closed captions or transcripts for sessions where available
- Adjustments to pacing, delivery style, and assessment methods
- Support for students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, and other neurodiverse profiles
Please mention any requirements when booking your free consultation and we will ensure your assigned tutor is briefed and prepared.
